My Recent Make Up Purchases

Both before my holiday and whilst I was on holiday I treated myself to a few new make up items so for this week's blog post I'm going to do a little review of each product.

Before I went on holiday I purchased two products from MAC, the first was a matte lipstick in the shade Please Me. This lipstick is a muted rosy-tinted pink and is perfect colour for summer as it brightens up any outfit. It is a very long lasting lipstick however, it is a little bit drying.

The second item I purchased was a mineralize blush in the shade Warm Soul. It's a mid-tone beige with a gold shimmer and I literally fell in love with it when it arrived, it's so pretty. This blush is a beautiful colour and gives a very natural look. It has definitely replaced Benefit's Rockateur as my favourite blush.

While I was away on holiday I popped into a department store in Vigo and purchased two products from MAC and one from Urban Decay. The first MAC product I purchased was the False Lashes Extreme Black mascara. I decided to purchase this mascara after I had used and fallen in love with some samples of this mascara that I had received with past MAC purchases. This mascara both lengthens and adds volume to my lashes and is overall an amazing product.

The second MAC product I bought was an amplified creme lipstick in the shade Dark Side. I'm absolutely in love with this lipstick! It will be perfect for autumn as it's a deep burgundy colour. I also really like the amplified creme finish of this lipstick as it is very pigmented and creamy.

Lastly, I purchased Urban Decay's Naked 1 palette. I already own the Naked 2 palette and I thought it was about time I added another to my collection so after a lot of deliberation I decided to buy the Naked 1 palette. I love all the shades in this palette especially Sin, Sidecar, Smog and Toasted. The packaging of this palette is also beautiful as I love the velvet finish to it. I love this palette just as much as I love the Naked 2 palette and I can't wait to purchase the Naked 3 and Naked Smoky palette in the future.
