Favourite Places I've Travelled To

During my 18 years of life I have been very lucky to have travelled to some incredible places such as Venice, Florida, Dubai and Monte Carlo. So for this week's blog post I've decided to write about my top ten favourite places that I've visited.

10: Norway
I was trying to choose my favourite place that I've been to in Norway but as they were all so beautiful I couldn't choose so Norway on a whole is my tenth favourite place that I've been to. I have been to Norway on two separate occasions and have visited Stavanger twice, Oslo, Bergen, Kristiansand, Olden, Flam and Ulvik. The scenery in Norway is magnificent and it was so breathtaking and peaceful to sail down the fjords on a cruise ship. My favourite memories of Norway include rafting and seeing the Briksdal glacier, shopping and visiting the sculpture park in Oslo and sunbathing on the cruise ship and then looking up and seeing snow on the mountains nearby.

9: Istanbul, Turkey
I've only been to Istanbul once but it was honestly one of the most amazing places I've visited. I went to the Blue Mosque which was beautiful, the architecture was incredible. I also went to the Grand Bazaar and I could have stayed there forever. It was absolutely huge! It sold everything from food to clothes to fake bags and watches. It was one of the most colourful and vibrant places I've ever seen and I would love to go back to Istanbul one day so I could visit the Grand Bazaar again.

8: Rome, Italy
I absolutely love Italy as you can probably tell seen as it's on this list three times. I've visited Rome once and it was fantastic as there's so much to see and do there. Whilst there I visited the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain which were both incredibly beautiful. I also ate lots of amazing ice cream and pizza whilst I was there which is kinda what you've got to do when you visit Italy. I would definitely like to go back to Rome in the future so I could visit all the other wonderful things Rome has to offer like the Colosseum and the Pantheon.
7: Pisa, Italy
For number 7 we're back at Italy (I told you I really love Italy). I went to Pisa in 2005 and of course I visited the Leaning Tower of Pisa so cue embarrassing photos of 8 year old Jess posing for the cliche photo pretending to hold up the Leaning Tower. As with everywhere in Italy Pisa was extremely beautiful and once again I ate way too much ice cream when I was there.
6: Corfu, Greece
I've been to Corfu four times now and I would still continue to go back as it's so pretty. There are so many little streets to wander down with lots of restaurants and small gift shops to look in. It's such a beautiful place! Every time we go to Corfu we have a meal in the same restaurant and the food is so nice! I would definitely go back to Corfu for a fifth time if I have the opportunity.
5: Monte Carlo, Monaco
Monte Carlo is basically just filled with yachts, Ferraris and Lamborghinis. It's insane! I swear everyone there is a billionaire. Whilst in Monte Carlo we did a little tour and saw the huge casino which was amazing. We also went swimming in the sea off a pontoon which was really fun. Monte Carlo is definitely a place I would love to visit again.
4: Dubrovnik, Croatia
Croatia is one of my favourite countries hands down and Dubrovnik is definitely my favourite place in Croatia. It's so pretty! I've been there four times now and twice I've walked along the city walls which is incredible! The views are amazing and you get a full tour of the whole city. I've also done a boat trip around Dubrovnik which was beautiful! Dubrovnik is also a lovely place to just wander round, take in the sights and sit in the sun and have a drink. I would definitely keep going back here.
3: Florida, America
Of course Florida and Disney World had to make an appearance in my list. Disney World is definitely the happiest place on earth. Both times that I've been to Florida we stayed in huge villas that were amazing. Whilst in Florida we visited all the Disney theme parks such as Magic Kingdom, Disney Hollywood Studios, Epcot and Animal Kingdom. We also went to Bush Gardens, Typhoon Lagoon, Blizzard Beach and Sea World. I loved going on all the rides and meeting all the Disney characters. I 100% need to go to Florida and Disney World again as I'm a big kid who still loves Disney (I also really want to meet Elsa and Anna).
2: Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Dubai is just insane! It's incredible! The weather is ridiculous, it's so insanely hot there. The hotel we stayed in was also amazing it had like four pools or something like that. Whilst in Dubai we mainly sunbathed by the pool and went to the beach but one day we went to the Dubai Mall which was incredible. It was frigging huge! I've never seen anything like it! I definitely need to visit Dubai again very very soon!
1: Venice, Italy
Venice, Venice, Venice. I just love Venice! I've been there four times now and every time I go it takes my breath away how beautiful and magical it is. I could wander round Venice forever just getting lost in all the streets and canals. St Mark's Square, the Grand Canal and the Rialto Bridge are all incredible. One of my favourite memories in Venice is sitting outside a restaurant by the Grand Canal eating pizza and watching all the boats go by. Whilst in Venice I've also visited the islands of Murano and Burano and gone on a gondola ride which was insane! I will definitely continue visiting Venice.
So those are the ten favourite places I have travelled to. It was incredibly hard to pick a top 10 as I've been to so many wonderful places so some other places that I've been to and loved are Lisbon in Portugal, Seville and Barcelona in Spain, Kotor in Montenegro, Gibraltar (purely because a litre of vodka is £5.39) and Korcula and Split in Croatia.
