Best School and Sixth Form Memories

About a week and a half ago I finished my last A Level exam and officially left Wolfreton School and Sixth Form College, where I have spent the last 7 years of my life, so I thought I would share a few of my favourite memories from there.

1: My first favourite memory is when I went to Paris in July 2011 when I was in Year 9. On this trip we visited the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe and then spent a day at the Parc Asterix theme park. At the theme park we thought it would be incredibly fun to run through some fountains and get soaked just before we had to leave and although we thought it was funny the teachers were not impressed and the coach driver made us sit on plastic bags so we didn't get the coach seats wet. Cue some embarrassing photos from this trip:

2: My second favourite memory is the last days of Year 11 before we went on study leave. These days consisted of lessons in which we basically did nothing but get our shirts signed and get pictures taken. On the last day we had a leaver's assembly were the teachers embarrassed us by showing a slideshow of our Year 7 photos and lots of other highly embarrassing photos that had been taken throughout Years 7-11.
3: My next favourite memory is definitely my favourite memory of my whole time at Wolfreton and it's my Year 11 prom. It was nice to get dressed up and for the whole of the year group to be together for one last time and it was definitely one of the best nights of my life.
4: My next memory took place a few weeks after prom in July 2013 when I went on one last school to Germany. On this trip I visited the Rhineland and we went on a boat trip up the Rhine, went bowling and went to Phantasialand theme park (as you can tell the school trips at my school were very educational.
5: My last memory of Wolfreton School was my Year 13 leaver's/prom. This event took place on the day of my last A Level exam and was a great way to end my 7 years at Wolfreton School.
So those are some of my favourite memories of my 5 years at secondary school and my 2 years at sixth form. Although my school was a shit hole that resembles a prisoner of war camp I will miss it and some of the people who I spent my time there with.

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this blog post. I won't be doing a blog post next Monday because I'll be in Ibiza and I'm not sure how good the wifi will be.

Year 13 Prom Get Ready With Me

So last Friday I was freed from the horrors of A Levels and my 14 week long summer began as I finally finished all my exams. Then on Friday night it was my year 13 leaver's party/prom (I'm not really sure what to call it). It was a really good night and it was fun to spend one last time with my whole year group before we all move away for university. But anyway I thought I'd share with you how I had my hair and make up and what I wore.
For my make up I used the Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation in the shade Pure Beige. This foundation is incredibly long lasting so I knew it would last me the full night. Next I used Rimmel London's Wake Me Up concealer under my eyes and to cover any blemishes. Then to set my base I used the Stay Matte powder by Rimmel London. For blush I MAC's Mineralize blush in the shade Warm Soul, which has quickly become my new favourite blush.

Moving on to eyes and eyebrows. Firstly, I filled in my eyebrows with a Rimmel London eyebrow pencil. Next I primed my eyes with the Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion and then used the shade Suspect from the Naked 2 palette all over my lids and the shade YDK in the crease. For eyeliner I used my beloved L'Oreal Super Liner and then for mascara I used MAC's False Lashes Extreme Black mascara. I only own the free samples of this but a full sized tube of this is definitley going to be my next purchase from MAC as it made my lashes look incredible.

Lastly, as my dress was quite bright I just wanted a nude pink lip so I went for the shade Faux by MAC.

For my hair I used a style that I got from a tutorial Tanya Burr did ages ago on her YouTube channel so I'll leave the link to that video below if you want to check it out. For this style I simply french braided the left side of my hair and then brought all my hair to the right side.

For my outfit I wore a bright patterened dress from Zara, which was quite short and had a low back and a small cut out in the front. Then my favourite part of my outfit was my shoes. I recently purchased these from Topshop and they are definitley the most beautiful shoes I own. They're a pair of rose gold heels and I am honestly in love with them.

So that was my hair, make up and outfit for prom. I hope you enjoyed this post!

My Everyday Make Up

For today's blog post I thought I would tell you about my everyday make up. This is the make up look that I tend to wear for sixth form so it's just a quick and simple make up look that doesn't take me too long to do in the mornings.
Firstly, I use either Rimmel London's Wake Me Up foundation in the shade True Ivory or Rimmel London's Match Perfection in the shade Classic Beige. I go through phases of preferring Wake Me Up and phases of preferring Match Perfection. At the moment I prefer Match Perfection as I find Wake Me Up to be quite thick and heavy and Match perfection feels a lot lighter on my skin. I use the Real Techniques' foundation brush to blend this into my skin.

Next I use Rimmel London's Wake Me Up concealer under my eyes and to cover any spots or blemishes. I blend this in with the Real Techniques' pointed foundation brush and then buffer all my foundation and concealer with the Real Technique's buffing brush.

To complete my base I apply Rimmel London's Stay Matte powder with my Real Techniques' powder brush to set my foundation.

Then I fill in my eyebrows with either Rimmel London's eyebrow pencil or the Collection eyebrow kit. I mostly use my eyebrow pencil when getting ready for school as I find it a bit quicker than using the brow kit and I'm often in a rush in the mornings.

Moving on to my eyes, I don't wear eyeshadow for sixth form because I'm too lazy, I just use the L'Oreal Super Liner to do my winged eyeliner. I swear by this eyeliner pen it's amazing and makes doing winged eyeliner incredibly easy.

Lastly, I apply Maybelline's One By One Volume Express mascara to my eyelashes. This is one of my favourite mascaras as it makes my eyelashes look extremely long give them lots of volume and I often get asked whether I'm wearing false eyelashes when wearing this mascara.

Summer Wish List

Summer is fast approaching and my list of items that I want for summer is ever growing, so I thought I would share a couple of them with you.
Firstly, is a bikini from H&M. This bikini is in a floral pattern with white ruffles and is perfect for sunbathing as it won't leave you with horrendous tan lines like some bikinis do. I love this bikini but unfortunately I won't look as banging in it as Josephine Skriver does.

The next item isn't really that summery but I instantly fell in love with it when I saw it in Topshop today. It's a black bomber jacket so it's probably more of an autumny item but as it can still be fairly chilly on an evening in summer in England I would probably still be able to wear it occasionally in summer. I was lusting after this for ages in Topshop today however, my bank balance was not a big fan of the £55 price tag. But this item is definitely something I will be purchasing soon.
The next item on my wish list is the Converse white high tops. I own the high top all black Converse and I pretty much live in them. They are so comfy and can be worn with anything from skirts to jeans. So I think it's about time I invest in the white ones which will be perfect for summer.
The next item on my list is the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette. I already own the Naked 2 palette and I am in love with it. I intend to complete the collection and at some point purchase the first Naked paltette aswell but forst I want to get the Naked 3 one. I love the rose coloured shades that come in this palette, espescially the shades Dust and Burnout.
The last item on my summer wish list is the Honey Bronze Bronzing Powder from The Body Shop. I recently saw this when I popped into The Body Shop and I fell in love. This bronzer comes in six different shades so there is a shade to complement every skin tone. I will definitely be purchasing this very soon.

5 Seconds of Summer Leeds 3/6/15

Monday is usually my regular day for writing a blog post but last night was so amazing I couldn't not share it. Yesterday I traveled to Leeds to see 5 Seconds of Summer at the First Direct Arena and they were insane! This was my fifth time seeing 5SOS live and they never fail to put on a fantastic show. The atmosphere was amazing and the music was incredible! The only thing that could have made the night better is if they'd sang my number one jam English Love Affair. My favourite moments of the night were Wrapped Around Your Finger, Rejects, Disconnected, Beside You and American Idiot and of course when Michael fell flat on his arse during Voodoo Doll. I'm sorry Michael it was hilarious.

Here are a few of my photos that I took:

Overall it was an incredible night and I really wish I was going to another ROWYSO date so I could do it all again.

May Favourites

I can't believe that May is already over and that it's now June. This year is going way too quickly. But during the month of May I have been loving lots of things so I thought I would share them with you in today's blog post.

Beauty Favourites
This month I have two beauty favourites, first is Urban Decay's Eyeshadow Primer Potion. This stuff is amazing! When I use it my make up doesn't budge for literally the whole day. The package says it makes make up last for 24 hours and it's not lying. It's incredible!
My second beauty favourite this month is MAC's Plumful lipstick. I literally wear this lipstick all the time. It has a lustre finish and is a rose-plum colour, hence the name. This lipstick is the perfect colour for a night out or a party. I love it!

Fashion Favourites
I also have two fashion favourites this minth. The first is my Hatty Cleated Sandals from TopShop. These shoes literally go with any outfit and can be dressed up or dressed down.
My second fashion favourite is a black and white pattered shirt from TopShop (if you haven't noticed I have a Topshop obsession). I bought this shirt back in October but during May I have been wearing it so much. I pair it with black jeans and on colder days I wear it buttoned up with a long black coat and black boots and on warmer days I wear it open with a black crop top underneath and my chunky black sandals.

Music Favourites
It was extremely hard for me to pick my music favourites because I've been loving so much music this month, probably because it's the only thing that keeps me sane during revision, but I managed to pick three favourites. First is All Time Low's newest album Future Hearts. Since buying this album I have been listening to it none stop, I am obsessed. My favourite songs include Missing You, Dancing With A Wolf and Don't You Go. All Time Low definitely need to bring their Future Hearts Tour to the UK so I can see these songs live.
My next music favourite is anything by Fall Out Boy. I freaking love Fall Out Boy, they're incredible! My current favourite songs are The Phoenix, Jet Pack Blues and Dance, Dance. I watched their set at Radio 1's Big Weekend and it was insane! It made me incredibly excited for October when I'm going to see them live.
My last music favourite is Halsey's Room 93 EP. This EP is just beautiful, I'm in love! My favourite songs are Is There Somewhere and Trouble. I am also very excited for Halsey's album, I'm sure it's going to be fab!

Film Favourites
My film favourite this month is If I Stay. I've watched this film twice this month and on both occasions I howled the full way through. It's so sad but it's so good!

TV Favourites
This month my TV favourite is Game of Thrones. This show just keeps on getting better, it's amazing! Season 5 has been incredible so far and I'm excited to see what the rest of the season has in store for us. I am also excited for summer so I can re-watch all 5 seasons. But anyway Daenerys Targaryen needs to end up on the iron throne or I will not be happy.
